A redevelopment of the Grade II listed former home to the BBC, the Television Centre (TVC) project saw an integrated Morrisroe Group team self-deliver demolition, enabling and piling works. Our scope included the design and installation of bearing piles to support two residential blocks.

Multiple Techniques: CFA and Rotary
Piles were 500 mm and 600 mm diameter CFA and 750 mm and 900 mm rotary bored pile, extending to 40 metres below ground level at their deepest. We also provided piling attendances, spoil removal and piling platform maintenance in house.
Mini Rig: Programme Savings
By reducing the size of the anchors, we were able to use one of our mini piling rigs to deliver load testing at the same time as the main piling works. This provided programme savings.
